Hello, I’m Miqdad
I’ve been building software for over 7 years now, primarily focusing on backend systems. I still feel like a student of the craft, always finding new things to learn and better ways to solve problems.
By day, I’m a Software Engineer trying to craft systems that are stable and reliable. At night, I’m usually either exploring new tech or diving into some rabbit hole of personal projects.
Things I Work With
I mostly focus on backend systems and architecture. My goal is to build services that are fast, readable, and easy for the next developer to understand.
Here is some of the tech I use:
| Category | Skills |
|---|---|
| Languages | Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, PHP, Java |
| Backend | gRPC, Microservices, SQL & NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, NSQ, NATS |
| Infra | Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, Linux, CI/CD, Ansible |
| Tools | Grafana, Kibana, DevOps & Automation, System Architecture |
Lately, I’ve been diving into the world of AI to try and understand how it’s changing the way we build.
Behind the Code
- Clean code is my number one priority.
- I believe good variable names are a form of kindness.
- I’ve spent more time configuring my editor than I care to admit.
- I truly think the best code is the code you don’t have to write.
- Navia simp (Spina di Rosula for life 🌸)
Side Quests
This blog is where I think out loud about engineering, things I’m learning, and whatever rabbit hole I’ve fallen into lately. There is no fixed schedule or content calendar, just me writing when I feel there is something worth sharing.
